Directors

Andrew Heazlewood

Andrew has a close affinity with the Hamilton community, having grown up on a cropping and grazing property at nearby Penshurst - which he now operates in conjunction with his wife and parents. He attended The Hamilton and Alexandra College before studying Commerce / Science at Melbourne University.
 
Andrew is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CAANZ) and has been a Director at CoggerGurry since 2009. In 2020 Andrew was appointed the Managing Director of the Practice. Andrew is passionate about all aspects of Primary Production and specialises in estate and succession planning, business structuring, future planning and business governance and of course taxation.


Together with his wife Vicki and three boys, Andrew is committed to the future of this wonderful rural community.

Hamish McDonald

Hamish grew up on a family farm in the Nareen district, was educated locally and in Ballarat, before completing his degree at Warrnambool.

Hamish joined CoggerGurry in 2009 after working in Cairns and overseas. He specialises in Tax, Business Advisory and Superannuation. Hamish is a member of CPA Australia and the SMSF Association.

Outside of work Hamish is involved in a number of sports, either playing or following his two boys and is actively involved in a number of not-for-profit organisations.

Lachlan Wark

Lachlan became a Director in 2011 and now has many years of experience providing tax and business services to small to medium businesses and individuals. Lachlan’s areas of expertise include general tax compliance, tax minimisation strategies and effective structuring. He has also gained a detailed understanding of small business capital gains concessions , succession, and estate planning.


Lachlan regularly provides advice to industries including primary production, retailers, manufacturers, and professional service firms.


Lachlan was educated in Hamilton and Melbourne, graduating from University with a Bachelor of Business in 2004. He is a Chartered Accountant. He is involved with local sporting clubs and enjoys spending time in the outdoors whether maintaining the yard, boating, or camping with his family and friends. Lachlan is married to Jessica and they have two children.

Stacey Shelden

Stacey grew up in the leafy suburbs of Melbourne's North East and studied a Commerce Degree at Monash University, then worked in the city for a year before joining her husband in Tasmania. After a year working in Launceston, they came to Hamilton in 1999 and have put down firm roots here. 


Stacey owned a small business before pursuing a career in Accounting, becoming a Chartered Accountant and joining CoggerGurry in 2008. Stacey has recently completed her Masters in Taxation with the University of NSW. Stacey is passionate about helping businesses with their Tax and Accounting systems to grow their business.


Stacey enjoys the lifestyle Hamilton offers with her husband and three children.

Toni Wright

Toni grew up in the local district and completed her secondary education at Monivae College before completing a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Ballarat.


She took-up a position at CoggerGurry in 2012 and is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a SMSF Association Specialist Advisor. Specialising in Superannuation, she is the Director of the Firm's Superannuation division.


Toni is married to Brett and they have three children, Charles, Isabella and Alexandra. Toni's a passionate netball Mum at Branxholme-Wallacedale Football Netball Club and a supportive cricket wife at Tahara Cricket Club


Principal

Michael Fitzpatrick

Michael grew up and was educated in Hamilton before attending University of Ballarat (now Federation University) to complete a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree. He has since worked in accountancy practices for over twenty years, and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ).
 
Michael's expertise is in general taxation and compliance. He has a special interest in accounting systems & IT, taxation planning, family tax benefits and business advisory.
 
Michael is married to Mel and they have three children. He is a keen sportsman who enjoys playing cricket and table tennis, and is currently the president of the local table tennis club.
